34. How education & discomfort helped me stop drinking with Andy Booker
This week I was joined by the awesome Andy Booker. Andy is a truck driver who had a lot of listening time while driving. After questioning the role of alcohol in his own life, he discovered the podcast on Spotify and was able to use what he'd learnt to help him stop drinking alcohol.
During this episode Andy talks openly about his journey. Where he was, where he is and what his sober future looks like for him. He shares his raw, authentic story as an inspiration for all other guys wanting to rethink alcohol in their lives.
We talk about some of the following points:
- Rockbottom moments
- How we justifying drinking
- How the podcast helped him in his journey
- Using mini goals to create big results
- Why educating yourself on alcohol is a game changer..... it's the stuff we use to fuel planes with btw (Ethanol)
- Being prepared to be uncomfortable
- How alcohol magnifies your emotions and then some
- Sober opportunities
